Lyndsey McDougall is a Northern Irish artist and scholar.
She has exhibited her work throughout the UK and Ireland as well as internationally in Berlin, Paris, New York, Blönduós, Karachi, Oaxaca and Quebec.
She is fascinated by physical and cultural landscapes. Making work that investigates the parallels between the formation of natural forms and the formation of belief systems. She does this by combining geographic and symbolic imagery through the craft of hand embroidery. Tying everything together is her interest in how the passing of time equals the movement of land and ideas.
